1. Property Tax Reform:
Homeownership is the cornerstone of the American Dream, but in Ohio, that dream is threatened. Rising property taxes are forcing families, farmers, seniors, and those on fixed incomes to pay more each year just to keep the homes they already own.
No one should have to rent their property back from the government. It’s time to stand up for Ohio’s taxpayers and restore fairness, accountability, and common sense to our property tax system. We must reaffirm that private property ownership is a fundamental right, and that the government’s role is to protect, not exploit, the people it serves.
It’s time to put Ohio homeowners first. By reforming our property tax system, we can protect seniors, strengthen families, and keep the promise of homeownership alive for the next generation. Property ownership should mean security, independence, and pride, not fear of being taxed out of your home. Together, we can make government smaller, smarter, and more accountable to the people who make Ohio strong.
2. Reduce Spending:
Ohio taxpayers work hard for every dollar they earn, and government should treat those dollars with the same respect. Unfortunately, too much of what we send to Columbus is wasted on bureaucracy, bloated programs, and layers of red tape. That has to change.
As your representative, I’ll make it a priority to identify and eliminate wasteful spending at every level of state government. Every department, agency, and program should be accountable to the taxpayers who fund it, with transparent budgets, and measurable results to ensure money is being spent wisely.
Cutting waste isn’t just about saving money; it’s about restoring trust. When we stop wasting taxpayer dollars, we can better invest in the priorities that truly matter — strong schools, safe communities, and reliable infrastructure — without raising taxes.
3. Support Both Public and Private K-12:
Every child in Ohio deserves access to a quality education, no matter where they live or what school their parents choose. I proudly support both our public and private K–12 schools and the dedicated teachers, staff, and families who make them thrive.
Strong public schools are the backbone of our communities, providing opportunity, structure, and support for thousands of Ohio students. At the same time, private and faith-based schools play an equally vital role in giving families more choices that reflect their values and children’s individual needs.
Parents should have the freedom to decide what’s best for their children’s education. I’ll will support policies that empower families, strengthen local schools, and ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly to give every child in Ohio the chance to succeed.
Issues
4.Pro-Life:
I am proudly pro-life. Every life, born and unborn, is sacred. I believe our laws and our communities should reflect that truth. Being pro-life means more than opposing abortion; it means standing with mothers, fathers, and families every step of the way.
We must ensure that women facing unexpected pregnancies have access to real support, from prenatal care and counselling to childcare, job opportunities, and adoption services. Ohio should be a place where choosing life is not just possible but supported and celebrated.
That means strengthening family resources, investing in community programs that help parents succeed, and fostering a culture that values both mother and child. Protecting life and supporting families go hand in hand, and I’ll always fight for policies that honor both.
5. Strong Second Amendment Supporter:
I strongly support the Second Amendment and the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. The right to self-defence is fundamental, not granted by government, but guaranteed to us in our constitution. Ohio’s sportsmen, hunters, and gun owners know that firearms are a part of our heritage and our freedom. I will always stand against any effort to restrict the rights of responsible citizens or impose burdensome regulations that punish the law-abiding instead of criminals.
Protecting the Second Amendment also means promoting firearm safety, education, and respect for the responsibility that comes with gun ownership. I will always defend the rights of Ohioans to protect their families, their property, and their freedom — today and for generations to come.
6. Science of Reading:
I strongly support the Science of Reading, a body of evidence-based research that demonstrates how children learn to read most effectively. For decades, educators have sought methods that ensure all students achieve literacy, and the Science of Reading provides clear guidance on phonics, language development, comprehension, and structured literacy instruction.
The need for evidence-based literacy instruction is urgent. By adopting the Science of Reading, we can equip children with the skills they need from the start, helping prevent future literacy challenges and giving every student a real chance to succeed.
Mississippi serves as a compelling example of the power of these methods. The state has implemented comprehensive reading programs grounded in the Science of Reading, resulting in measurable improvements in early literacy outcomes. By focusing on proven strategies, Mississippi is helping ensure that more children enter each grade with the skills they need to succeed academically and beyond. Supporting the Science of Reading is not just an investment in education, it is an investment in the future of every child, giving them the tools to succeed in school, in their careers, and in life.
